Dr. Mehdi Adili
Dr. Mehdi Adili received his Doctoral of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Georgetown University in 1989. He then completed one-year training in Advanced Restorative and Temporomandibular Disorders Treatments (TMJ) at the Georgetown University. He earned his Prosthodontics (reconstructive dentistry) specialty degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1992. Dr. Adili was able to maintain a high quality private practice during his three-year residency and specialty programs.
As a specialist in prosthodontics, and with more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Adili uses the art and science of his specialty to restore even the most challenging cosmetic problems into beautiful smiles. He is devoted to create excellence in all phases of patient care. To ensure his patients of the highest quality of care possible, Dr. Adili continuously pursues advanced courses in dentistry, especially in the areas of cosmetic, restorative and implant reconstructive dentistry.
Dr. Saman Sepahi
Dr. Saman Sepahi received his Doctoral of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2008 from the Karolinska Institute located in Stockholm, Sweden. He began his career working at private practice in Sweden from 2008-2010. In 2009 he dedicated his time to help start the organization Dentists Without Borders. As the financial advisor for the organization, Dr. Sepahi and his team were successful in setting up projects in various countries throughout Africa, such as Zimbabwe. In 2010, Dr. Sepahi made the decision to move to the United States to pursue further education. He completed a two year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in 2012, at Nova Southeastern University located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During the course of his postdoctoral program, Dr.Sepahi had the opportunity to provide oral health care to the medically compromised and physically handicapped. He has extensive training and experience in dental surgery of simple and complex extractions, full mouth reconstructions, aesthetic dentistry, dentures, and teeth whitening.
Dr. Azin Ghesmati
Dr. Azin Ghesmati received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery ( D.D.S.) from New York University College of Dentistry. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree with honors, in Biology and Kinesiology from York University in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Ghesmati also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Software Computer Engineering. Her strong science background combined with her passion for art has led her to pursue dentistry with a special concentration in Cosmetic Dentistry.
Azin is an avid watercolor painter, she believes the more you understand and appreciate the art, the better you can develop, evaluate and improve your own artwork.This understanding of art is being focused even more on her dental work.
She has gained a vast amount of experience and education of how to intertwine the beauty of fine arts and the techniques being employed in the modern era of dentistry to serve her patients while she considers the general health of her patients to be of utmost concern.
Dr. Ghesmati is a Sustaining Member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She considers her education at UCLA on Esthetic Reconstruction an eye opener of how restorative dentistry should be done in a most conservative way and how a patient’s overall oral health plays an important role when designing a new healthy smile. Dr. Ghesmati’s background in engineering made it very easy for her to employ digital dentistry in her practice.
Azin is proud of the cases that she has had, restoring patients’ smiles and oral health after facial trauma. Dr. Ghesmati takes great satisfaction in her role in restoring both patients’ smile and their confidence. Her greatest goal in practicing dentistry is patient education and satisfaction.
Dr. Ghesmati plays squash and golf, she loves cooking and her dog’s name in Merlot!!!
Dr. Stephanie Nunez
Dr. Stephanie Nunez earned her DDS and PhD from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 2014. Dr. Nunez practiced for a year in Kalamazoo, Michigan before starting a two-year General Practice Residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At Einstein, she served as chief resident, a position hand-selected by faculty. During the residency, she received specialized training in a variety of procedures: veneers, dental implant placement and restoration, endodontics, crown and bridge, extractions, and more.
Dr. Nunez’s love for dentistry stems from its combination of art and science with the ability to change someone’s life. Her priority in practice is to get to know her patients and identify their main concerns, allowing her to create a custom treatment plan that guides her patients to their desired outcome.
Dr. Nunez is originally from Puerto Rico and is able to comfortably communicate in both English and Spanish. She was raised in the D.C. Metro in her adolescence and has since returned with her husband. She’s an avid reader and runner.
Meet Our Hygienists
Kaveh Sanatjou graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2000 with his AAS in Dental Hygiene. He enjoys teaching our patients how to care for their mouth so they can have a healthy gum and brighter smile. He is a native Washingtonian, currently resides in the Tyson’s Corner area, and has been with Ideal Dental Solutions for 17 years. Kaveh has two children. Kaveh’s main interests include hiking, staying fit, traveling and keeping busy with his family. Kaveh is also an avid Washington area sports fan.
Mina Yousefi received her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006 from Old Dominion University which is the top Dental Hygiene school in the USA. Ever since receiving her degree, she’s been working full time. She also received her associate degree in Math in 1990 and in Internet Specialist and Computer Networking in May 2000 with honor roll. She moved to Northern VA in the summer of 2013. In school she was well known as the student with the best patient relationship and in her previous practice she was known as the hygienist with the most requests. Mina believes patient education is the best tool to use. She is blessed with one son who is in the last year of the Pre-Med program at Old Dominion University.
Kate Shotwell grew up in Northern Virginia and began working as dental assistant in 2005. In 2009 she completed the Dental Hygiene program at Northern Virginia Community College. When she is not working she enjoys cooking for friends, exercising and spending time with her two puppies, Mae and Sue.
